I grew up beside my father — a carpenter — learning to work with my hands before I could drive. That foundation never left me. But life took me on a longer route first.

I earned a B.S. in Biology from Purdue University and spent years doing research at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Weill Cornell Medicine, and Columbia University. I went on to earn a Master's in Engineering & Technology Management from Louisiana Tech University, and today I oversee the design and buildout of research laboratories at Columbia — the kind of precision environments where nothing can go wrong.

I started Lannon Builders in 2016 to put my skills to work outside the lab — originally to tackle student loans (and, honestly, to cover emergency surgery for my cat). What I found was that I genuinely love it. Working with my hands keeps my mind sharp, and I bring the same methodical, engineer's approach to every home repair that I bring to a lab build.
